Hello! This is Gangwon Peace Tour.:)!!
Following July 20, Gangwon Peace Tour traveled "East of the DMZ" in Goseong, Gangwon.
The explanation of the previous post is so good, and the course is the same,
so I'm going to post what I felt rather than explaining.
We met at the parking lot of Kangwon National University's 60th Anniversary Hall and left.
It took about 2 hours and 30 minutes from Chuncheon to Goseong, so we gathered at 8:30 in the morning!
Castle of Hwajinpo (Kim Il-sung's Summer House)
; The magnificent site, created with surrounding pine forest, lagoon, and beach.
The weather was bad when I went here before. I didn't expect it to be this beautiful. Isn't it wonderful?
I think students feel the same way. Everyone is working hard to take pictures.
Representative Lee Ki-chan is explaining Hwajinpo-seong. They're all listening.
Shall we go to the castle now?
On the first and second floors of the fortress, there are explanations of inter-Korean relations, differences between the two Koreas, and the lives of North Koreans.
Students know North Korean and are amazed by the difference between Korean and North Korean.
Especially in North Korea, it is very interesting to say that it is okay is described as "일없다."
The top of the castle welcomes us with its beautiful ocean view. The ocean between the stone towers is quite attractive.
My heart flutters when I see the emerald sea and blue sky.
There is a pine forest near Hwajinpo Castle. Thanks to the dense pine forest, you can avoid the intense sunlight.
There is a nice photo spot here. The road between the pine trees! :D
The students spent a fun time taking pictures of each other.
But it's a real car road, so you have to avoid it sideways when the car comes.
Goseong Art Hotel Remaker;
Sensuous, gorgeous
Students and Kangwon Peace Tour had lunch at the cafe on the 1st floor in the Goseong Art Hotel Remaker.
I enjoyed my lunch and looked around the hotel for a while.
I'm completely into the sensuous and modern first floor look.
Students looked around many places and took many pictures.
Goseong Unification Observatory
; The coexistence of beautiful landscape and tension
If you get out of the car and go up powerfully, you will arrive at the Goseong Unification Observatory.
This is the northernmost place to see North Korea in South Korea.
The sea you see at the Unification Observation Tower is different from the sea you see at Castle of Hwajinpo.
When I came here before, I couldn't see the island well because the sky was dark, but now I can see the island well because the sky is clear!
A student is looking at North Korea with a telescope installed on the observatory. I wonder what it will look like!
I'm so sad that I can't go anywhere I want even though I'm close enough to see North Korea from the Unification Observation Tower.
Myeongpa Beach
; the Northernmost Beach of S. Korea
Myeongpa Beach, located behind the Art Hotel, is currently the most remote beach in the north.
The students in sandals went to the sea with great excitement.
Even the students in sneakers took off their socks and went in together to play.
The students were excited, so I got excited with them.
The professor who leads the students taught them a good photo pose.

We played with water and had fun.
We came back to Chuncheon after finishing our schedule.
It was great to be able to rethink the relationship between South and North Korea through this trip.
Thank you so much for participating in this hot day.
