The northernmost guard post of Goseong, which was first established in the southern region after the Korean War. It is a nationally registered cultural property in South Korea and is meaningful in terms of its symbolism, which was located at the shortest distance (about 580m) from the North. It is also very valuable as a facility that vividly shows the continuation of the division of the two Koreas and the Cold War period and the symbolism of inter-Korean harmony and peace.
