Cheorwon was so prosperous that there were discussions on relocating the location of Gangwon-do Provincial Government to Japanese colonial era. The Labor Party building was built in the center of Cheorwon-eup in early 1946. Where the Cheorwon Plain begins, where the Gyeongwon Line passed, the Geumgangsan Electric Railway began, and where the wounds of war were deeply cast. We can dream of peace where Seo Tai-ji and his children(Korean singer group)sang "Dreaming of Balhae" in the 1990s.
